A Friday brings much excitement with the weekend about to start, as it is time to take a break with family and friends to recharge the batteries. Atlas Security has made it possible to relax a little easier by removing a few criminals from the streets.
It started when a business in Strang Street was burgled by an estimated 7 suspects. Armed Response arrived as the suspects were fleeing the premises. The outnumbered Armed Response Officers were fearless against the mass of suspects and chased them, all but one got away. The suspect was handed over to the SAPS and stolen items were recovered.
Next was a success in Kempston Road. Two employees got into an argument, which ended with one employee stabbing the other and fleeing the scene. Armed Response chased the suspect and apprehended him. Gardmed transported the patient to the hospital for further treatment.
A robbery of person was next on the list. A scholar was robbed of his cell phone outside a school in Walmer. A teacher, along with members of the public, chased the suspect and caught him on Heugh Road. Armed Response arrived to assist with detaining the suspect until the SAPS arrived.
The final incident was when the Sherwood Neighbourhood Watch requested assistance after copper pipes and lights were stolen from a residence in Glamorgan Street. Armed Response arrived, and the pursuit began. B25 caught the suspect and handed him over to the SAPS.
