Our response officers will always do what they can to gain access to a premises from the perimeter, where reasonably possible, however, due to the increase in crime, we have all increased our security over the years and many of us no longer have a mere 4ft wall that would be a hop, skip and a jump. The increased perimeter security of palisade fences, electric fences, spikes, etc. have all been added to ensure it more difficult for intruders to gain access, which in turn has also made it more difficult for our response officers, especially in adverse weather conditions. Notwithstanding this, in the event of medical emergencies, lack of proper access to your premises for our response officers will also hamper medical personnel from attending to you or your loved ones. They certainly would not be able to put a stretcher over a 6ft fence or wall in order to gain access to a patient or evacuate them in this manner.
Should you wish to have one of our Senior Operations Officers to meet with you, in order to assess and discuss your current level of access to the premises, please do not hesitate to contact our offices. If you need to verify or update your key holder information, please contact our Database Supervisor, Ms Odette Swanepoel on 0414012247.
