The Atlas Security Control Room received an emergency signal from a social media group in Miramar. A suspicious male had been seen attempting to enter the premises of the local fire department. A clear description of the culprit was given to Atlas Security Armed Response officers on patrol in the area.

Upon arrival at the fire station, Atlas Security Armed Response officer B109 was informed that the suspect was last seen running down Glendore Road. B109 began to patrol the area in search of a person matching the suspect’s description.

Armed Response officer B14 joined the patrol and began to search the Salisbury Park area. A person matching the description was seen in the bushes near Mzansi Street. B14 apprehended the suspect and took him back to the fire station for identification. Once the suspect was identified as the culprit, he was handed over to the SAPS.
