Atlas Security Success: 6 Arrests in 12 Hours Across Nelson Mandela Bay

Last night and into the early hours of this morning, our dedicated Atlas Security team demonstrated exceptional vigilance and expertise, resulting in the arrest of 6 suspects in various areas of Nelson Mandela Bay, including Framesby, Summerstrand, Despatch, and Uitenhage.

The first breakthrough occurred in Smeeton Road, Framesby, after a quick response to a client’s alert about an intruder. Our Dedicated Patrol Service (DPS) vehicle, with backup, found a suspect hiding under the client’s vehicle, arresting him and recovering suspected stolen goods.

The second arrest was in Despatch, after a similar call from a client of a suspect in their yard. Atlas Security Armed Response Officer B25 went searching for the suspect after obtaining the description from the client. Moments later, he was spotted and apprehended in Botha Street.

The third arrest was in Summerstrand, after a call from a client in Ivana Street, alerting our team that a suspect had just stolen copper pipes from their property. The CCTV footage of the suspect was shown to our team and the information circulated. Our team spotted the male matching the description on the corner of Admiralty and Strandfontein. He was apprehended and the client positively identified him.

The night’s most significant operation took place in Uitenhage, where our control room received a report of suspects stealing electricity cables in Springs Road. Officer B57, with backup, executed a strategic apprehension of three suspects, recovering tools used in the theft. Two of these individuals are known offenders, and all were taken to the station for profiling by SAPS.

These successes underscore the effectiveness of our experienced team, the strategic use of resources, and our state-of-the-art CCTV infrastructure. Together, they form a formidable defense against criminal activities, ensuring the safety and security of our communities in Nelson Mandela Bay.
