On Wednesday morning, our control room received a call from a client in Mill Park, informing us that there were suspects in her house.
We immediately dispatched our dedicated patrol officers.
Upon arrival, we noticed that the client’s en-suite bathroom window was wide open. We could not see any burglar bars on the window.
Our officers conducted a thorough inspection of the entire premises, examining both the interior and exterior of the property, and noticed that the suspect had climbed into a tree and jumped into the neighbour’s yard.
Our control room contacted the neighbour in whose yard the suspect jumped into and asked for permission to search their premises.
Officer B145 opened their outside toilet door, and the suspect jumped out, attempting to stab Officer B145. We used the necessary force to detain the suspect.
SAPS were contacted, and a case was opened.
