Pro-active Patrols And Community Engagements To Further Enhance Safety
During the course of July and August, Atlas Security responded to a total of 740 incidents in Nelson Mandela Bay, with 208 of the incidents being break-ins. Our operations team have partnered and formed relationships with a number of Neighbourhood Watch Groups and in turn during this time participated in various pro-active operations with the SAPS. Over the last two days we have put more man power on the ground to assist our teams, this is all part of the strategic crime fighting operations across various areas. Yesterday our team did visible policing and additional patrols in Mill Park, Linkside, Walmer Heights, Pari Park, Providentia and Greenshields Park.
Today we covered more areas in Port Elizabeth, starting with Richmond Hill where while searching, drug paraphernalia on a property was found as addicts continue to move around the area. Our senior team moved into the Walmer area where we engaged with our DPS team (Dedicated Patrol Service) which has transformed the profile of the area into one that has become more difficult for criminals to thrive in. Constant engagement with our DPS Officers and Armed Response Officers strengthens proactive policing and allows for more effective information gathering and dissemination between residents and our Armed Response Officers.
Our team thereafter moved into Lovemore Heights, Sardinia Bay and Lovemore Park, where all three areas have experienced incidents recently.
Atlas Security will continue to ramp up our existing crime prevention operations and also bridge the gap between neighbourhood watch groups, our Armed Response team and the SAPS to further strengthen the existing crime fighting relationships in our community.
