In the early hours of Friday morning, a suspicious vehicle was spotted around the area of Mount Pleasant. Noticing the dubious movements of the vehicle, Atlas Security Armed Response Officer approached the driver for questioning, who casually proclaimed that both he and his accomplice were just on their way home to Zwide.

Our Officers later noticed the same suspicious vehicle parked outside a business in Cape Road. The suspects were nowhere in sight. After a search of the suspects, they were spotted in the Belmore Park Complex. When they realised that they had been spotted, they tried to flee into Wykenham Crossing.

Back-up arrived and our team apprehended the first suspect in Burt Drive, and with the help of the SAPS the second suspect was apprehended shortly after in Wykenham Crossing.

The suspects admitted to stealing wheels off a vehicle in the area, and the stolen goods were returned to the rightful owner.

Another testament to the strength of our operations team as we look towards the holiday season. We are already hearing Christmas music in the shop, which needs to serve as a reminder that criminals are starting to look towards their holiday season shopping sprees. This means that residents need to get their security solutions up to scratch, as an ageing system is a weakness to the safety of your family.
