From consistently decreasing positive incidents over the past few weeks, the Metro has experienced an increased wave of crime this week as incidents hit triple-digits again.
Incidents of theft are at a concerning level as criminals are using a ‘Take-What-I-Can-Get’ approach, they are grabbing anything that they can get their hands on, with the main target being anything out of vehicles.
It is a constant reminder to not leave any valuables in the car, criminals have stolen more laptops from cars in the middle of the night than they have stolen out of homes, meaning that residents are making the criminal’s job very easy.
The second aspect that is a talking point is the medical emergencies that we are responding to, it is evident that the second wave of Covid-19 is heavily upon us, and were urge all our clients to understand the dangers of this virus. It is heartbreaking for our Armed Response Officers to attend a scene in which the client has passed away due to Covid.
Be safe out there. You won’t often know when you have been too careful, but you will immediately know when you haven’t been careful enough.
