This week, Atlas Security releases crime statistics for 20 June – 27 June 2019.
As we focus on the trends for the past week, we have noticed the following:
• Suspects returning to the same business after an attempted burglary (usually within 24 hours.)
• Fast food restaurants targeted shortly before closing.
• Suspects knocking on front doors asking random questions to gain entry.
Commercial properties suffered 66% of the incidents over the past week.
Atlas Security can report that this period was by far the highest in terms of reported incidents for the year, over 50 incidents were reported to Atlas Security, that’s an increase of 68% compared to the start of the month. Of these, 24 were positive burglaries, three armed robberies, and four attempted burglaries.
The most reported incidents happened on Wednesday between 01:00 23:30.
The highest trending items reported to have been stolen are:

• Cash from cash registers
• Stock items
• Computer Towers
