On Tuesday afternoon, one of our Area Commanders AC4 (B12) received a call from Hannes, the Chairman of the AfriForum Neighbourhood watch. Hannes relayed reports of an unresponsive male beneath a bridge on the N2.
Without hesitation, AC4 (B12) swiftly made his way to the location provided by Hannes. Upon arrival, he immediately observed that the individual in question appeared disoriented and in need of assistance. AC4 (B12) coordinated with our control room to alert the Metro ambulance.
AC4 (B12) retrieved a thermal blanket, ensuring the patient’s warmth and comfort until the ambulance arrived. The paramedics on the scene suspected a seizure and transported the patient to the hospital for further evaluation and care.
We commend AC4 (B12) for his effectiveness in attending to the patient and protecting him from the harsh weather conditions. We are so fortunate to have remarkable individuals like Hannes and AC4 (B12) who exemplify genuine compassion and a deep-seated desire to make a positive impact in this world.
Indeed, not all superheroes wear capes!
