During his patrol at the early hours of this morning, Atlas Security Armed Response Officer, B54, notified our control room of an abandoned vehicle in the bushes of Norland Crescent, Brymore. After inspecting the vehicle, he did notice that there was no damage to the vehicle. He immediately gave the registration details to our control room, who then contacted the SAPS. The SAPS confirmed that the vehicle had been reported as stolen from Humewood the day before.
Atlas Security’s Dedicated Patrol Service or DPS, continues to deliver success in 11 areas in Port Elizabeth. The areas are secured with a dedicated vehicle that never leaves the area, backed with a strong infrastructure of CCTV and home-assist savings to our DPS clients. Atlas Security knows from experience that the introduction of a dedicated vehicle to patrol a suburb as a “DPS” area transforms the profile of the area as one that becomes more difficult for criminals to thrive in.
In South Africa, a vehicle is stolen or hijacked every 32 minutes.
