It is widely believed by many, that Alarm Monitoring and Armed Response service providers are deemed as emergency responders, unfortunately this is not the case. Our municipal bylaws do not favour alarm response vehicles in any way and they are no different to any ordinary user of the road. Therefore, like you, we too are required to adhere to speed limits, traffic lights, and all other rules of the road. These factors, along with road works, peak hour traffic, etc., will influence the ability to respond to alarm activations in the shortest time possible.
By strategically placing our 38 Armed Response vehicles in and around Port Elizabeth, we attempt to minimize the impact of any third party factor(s) which can influence response times. For the most part, we are able to maintain a below average response time, compared to the national average which is around 15 minutes.
