On reading Atlas Security’s e-mail I noticed at the end of DPS notice that Atlas have partnered with Alexander Forbes wherein clients switching their insurance to them will enjoy the benefit of having increased cost for the DPS deductible from their Insurance Premium.

I contacted Chad at Alexander Forbes for a quote which proved to be R456 cheaper than my current Premium. I then mentioned the Atlas DPS discount agreement.. to which he agreed. Saying their claim rate was far lower in suburbs with Atlas Security DPS services. In total a monthly saving of R740. Needless to say I have signed up.

Well Atlas you really proved yourself. Of course you are armed response and that is your purpose but how would Atlas react on a medical emergency?

I found out on Thursday the 28th August… at approximately 4pm I hit the panic because my mother of 74 has, what we believed to be a stroke… give or take within 3 to 4 minutes the armed response officer arrived jumping out of his vehicle to assist medically while requesting the ambulance which arrived give or take 5 minutes later.

It is through this response time that you sir saved my mums life what we believe could have ended a lot  differently. Then when my sister arrived home from the hospital at 01h00 on Friday you were there to see her into the house. You guys definitely saved my mums life. Thank you.

I would just like to place on record and pass on some praise to one of your ladies in the control room.

Courtney phoned me at 11h26 last night for the above business premises to advise that there was no power.

As I am sure you are aware it is not pleasant being woken up from a deep sleep ( I am sure the controllers receive plenty of abuse too), but what a patient and compassionate young lady. She was polite and advised me what to do when I came into the office this morning.

When I arrived at the office this morning the power was back on.
