    Description

Atlas Security is looking for an experienced leader to join our Technical team (Installations and Maintenance) and help drive service delivery, growth, and operational excellence across Nelson Mandela Bay.

    About The Role

This is a buildandlead role, not a maintain‑the‑status‑quo role. You will own how our technical operations run end‑to‑end across the Atlas footprint of Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage, and Despatch. The brief is simple: take outcomes, principles, and direction — and make the right things happen, with the right people, processes, and accountability in place.

If you want to shape strategy, inspire teams, and drive operational excellence, this is the role for you.

    About Us

Atlas Security is a trusted leader in the Eastern Cape, delivering compliance‑driven technical services and operational excellence. Our footprint spans Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage, and Despatch, and we pride ourselves on auditready frameworks, disciplined service delivery, and innovation in technical management.

We are ambitious, evolving quickly, and looking for leaders who thrive on accountability and growth.

    What You Will Own

    • Workforce Leadership & Development: Lead and inspire 30+ technical staff across PE, Uitenhage, and Despatch, fostering accountability, motivation, and growth (includes technicians and administrators).

    • Service Strategy & Execution: Shape and implement long‑term service strategy, translating objectives into operational plans across the Atlas footprint.

    • Discipline & Accountability: Address staff issues firmly and fairly, applying disciplinary procedures to uphold professionalism.

    • Fleet & Cost Management: Manage fleet operations, fuel efficiency, and brand appearance while controlling costs.

    • Risk & Compliance: Resolve service risks quickly in collaboration with divisional managers, ensuring compliance with standards.

    • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Champion new technologies, automation, and AI‑driven processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

    Who We Are Looking For

You are a handson leader with proven experience in technical operations, ideally in a fast‑moving, compliance‑driven environment. You thrive on accountability, can balance strategic foresight with operational detail, and are as good at building people up as you are at making hard calls.

You are motivated by results, resilience, and innovation, and you want the breadth of this role rather than a narrow lane.

Most importantly, you are someone who embraces AI as a core part of how you work. You instinctively ask how technology, automation, and AI‑driven tools can solve problems faster and smarter, and you thrive on advancing processes, improving efficiency, and raising your team to that standard.

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements

    • Tertiary qualification (compulsory).
    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior management role within security, telecoms, maintenance, and/or copier industries.
    • Proven ability to manage teams of 30+ employees.
    • Demonstrated success in service delivery, revenue generation, and achieving operational targets.
    • Strong experience with CRM systems, job costing, and maintenance scheduling software.
    • Valid South African driver’s license and willingness within Atlas footprint.

    Key Competencies

    • Strategic mindset with critical thinking ability.
    • Technology and AI fluency with the ability to harness AI tools, automation, and digital platforms to streamline processes, improve decision‑making, and drive innovation in service delivery.
    • Flexible and adaptable leadership style.
    • Strong project management and operational oversight.
    • Commercial acumen with proven cost control and profitability management.
    • Resilience under pressure and ability to deliver results.
    • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
    • Clear communication and influence across technical teams, clients, and senior management.
