Atlas Security once again demonstrated the power of ๐ซ๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ patrols following the ๐ฌ๐ฐ๐ข๐๐ญ ๐๐ซ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐จ๐ ๐ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐๐๐ญ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฆ๐๐ซ, after suspicious activity was identified in 14th Avenue on the morning of 2 February 2026.

Earlier this morning Atlas Security Armed Response Officer ๐๐ซ๐๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐ observed a male acting suspiciously while pushing a trolley in the area. When questioned, the suspect immediately fled toward nearby bushland, abandoning the trolley at the scene.

Within ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐๐ซ ๐ญ๐ฐ๐จ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ฎ๐ญ๐๐ฌ, upon receiving the information Control Room dispatched backup armed response units and had vehicles on scene almost immediately. A search of the abandoned trolley revealed ๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐๐ซ ๐ฉ๐ข๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฅ, raising strong suspicion of criminal activity.

Armed Response Officer ๐๐ซ๐๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐, supported by ๐๐ซ๐๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐, immediately conducted a coordinated search of the surrounding bush area and escape routes. The suspect was successfully located and apprehended.

SAPS arrived on scene and formally took the suspect into custody.

Arrest: Stolen Vehicle Recovered

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, Atlas Security Armed Response Officers played a key role in recovering a stolen vehicle and assisting with the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection with fraud and vehicle theft. Atlas Securityโs Control Room received a phone call early hours of the morning regarding a white Mazda that had been stolen in South End the previous day. Our Armed response units and Atlas Security Armed Response Officer, Bravo 16 were notified to remain on alert for the vehicle.
