Arrest: Stolen Vehicle Recovered
General

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, Atlas Security Armed Response Officers played a key role in recovering a stolen vehicle and assisting with the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection with fraud and vehicle theft.
Atlas Security’s Control Room received a phone call early hours of the morning regarding a white Mazda that had been stolen in South End the previous day. Our Armed response units and Atlas Security Armed Response Officer, Bravo 16 were notified to remain on alert for the vehicle.
Later that night, information was received from Armed Response Officer, Bravo 6. According to the report, the same suspect previously arrested by Bravo 16 had taken a 77-year-old woman’s vehicle under false pretences.
Atlas Security armed response officer, Bravo 6 discreetly followed the vehicle and called for backup from Bravo 16, who immediately informed SAPS. The vehicle was intercepted, where SAPS units arrived on scene and assisted with the arrest.
This incident once again highlights the importance of strong coordination between Atlas Security, the community, and SAPS in ensuring swift action and justice.
