Atlas Security’s advanced CCTV network continues to prove its effectiveness in keeping our city safe! Our state-of-the-art surveillance infrastructure has played a critical role in multiple successful operations, working hand in hand with the SAPS K9 Unit to combat crime.
An alert was triggered from our CCTV Pole in Upper Valley Road, South End when a vehicle linked to multiple crimes was detected. Our control centre immediately flagged the vehicle and tracked its movement as it passed key Atlas Security CCTV Poles, including Park Drive and our newly installed pole in 6th Avenue, Walmer. SAPS K9 swiftly responded, and the vehicle was successfully stopped on Heugh Road.
In another incident today, our control centre identified a vehicle passing our Water Road CCTV Pole, flagged for criminal activity linked to Cookhouse. The rapid response from authorities ensured the situation was monitored closely.
Our CCTV network also detected a vehicle on the N2 heading towards Nelson Mandela Bay, linked to a crime. SAPS K9 acted immediately, resulting in the arrest of two suspects. The vehicle, used in the commission of a crime, was impounded and towed.

December is traditionally a high-risk month, but Atlas Security closed December 2025 with a clear reduction in crime despite increased festive movement and vacant homes. 480 incidents were recorded in December, down from 560 in November. This reflects a 14.3% month-on-month decrease, a strong result for the holiday period.

Our Rapid Intervention Units are actively patrolling the streets of Nelson Mandela Bay around the clock and Atlas Security's robust CCTV network is watching every move. These images were captured across multiple locations throughout the metro, from Springfield to Walmer, from Lily Street to Berea Road. A simple search for "ATLAS" in the system returned multiple hits, our own vehicles, tracked and identified within seconds across the city.
