New Eyes on Greenacres: Atlas Security & BMW Nelson Mandela Bay Raise the Bar for Area Safety
Safety

Atlas Security has partnered with BMW Nelson Mandela Bay to install a brand-new CCTV pole on Ring Road, Greenacres. This installation is more than just an upgrade for a single business—it’s a boost for the entire community. The new CCTV pole is equipped with three high-performance cameras: one License Plate Recognition (LPR) camera and two overview cameras with analytics, all positioned to cover critical angles along the road.
This project is the result of a strong, ongoing partnership between Atlas Security and BMW Nelson Mandela Bay, both of whom share a genuine commitment to safety and community well-being. By combining resources and expertise, we’re not only protecting a valued business partner but also strengthening security for everyone in the Greenacres area.
The new LPR camera is designed to automatically read and flag vehicle number plates, making it easier to identify vehicles of interest or respond to incidents quickly. The two overview cameras add an extra layer of visibility, providing monitoring of the surrounding area with advanced analytics to help detect unusual activity or patterns. This setup gives Atlas Security’s control room more actionable information, supporting both immediate responses and proactive crime prevention.
The installation doesn’t just focus on one property. It increases surveillance and response capabilities across a key stretch of Greenacres, giving businesses, residents, and visitors greater peace of mind. With license plate recognition and intelligent analytics, our teams can act quickly when it matters most.
This new CCTV pole forms part of Atlas Security’s broader mission to expand and enhance surveillance across Nelson Mandela Bay. As more cameras go up, we continue to work alongside partners like BMW Nelson Mandela Bay, making a real difference to safety in our city.
