SUSPECTS CAUGHT IN GREENSHIELDS PARK
Crime

Swift response, sharp eyes, and teamwork led to an early morning arrest
This morning, two suspects were arrested in the Greenshields Park/Walmer Heights area after a concerned resident reported them jumping out of a property in Villiers Road — one of them carrying a stolen shower door.
Atlas Security Armed Response Officer Bravo 21 was the first to spot the pair walking down the road with stolen items in hand. As he turned into Thrush Road, the suspects noticed him and tried to bolt, one fled on foot toward Buffelsfontein Road.
What followed was a coordinated pursuit. While Bravo 21 gave chase, our other units — including Bravo 70, Bravo 20, Bravo 81, and Bravo 30, moved in to lock down the area. The fleeing suspect didn’t get far; one of our Armed Response Officers intercepted him further down the road and detained him on the spot. The second suspect was also caught and restrained.
Both were handed over to SAPS and charged with possession of stolen goods and trespassing.
It’s thanks to fast reporting, community awareness, and a united team on the ground that these suspects are no longer roaming the streets. Another win for safety. Another reason to trust Atlas Security.
