Earlier today Atlas Security’s Control Room received a panic signal from a residential premises.
Upon arrival, our armed response team made contact with the property owner, who confirmed a positive incident in progress. The armed response officer promptly relayed updates to the Control Room and requested backup assistance. Bravo 11 and our RIU vehicle unit were dispatched and arrived shortly thereafter.
Further investigation, supported by statements from both the owner and a witness and revealed that two suspects had scaled the front perimeter wall of the property. Once inside, the suspects began stealing electric vehicle cables and motor vehicle parts.
A friend of the client, heard suspicious noises and went outside to investigate. Upon confronting one of the suspects, a physical altercation ensued.
Our armed response team immediately rendered medical assistance to both the injured witness and the suspect. For safety reasons, the suspect was placed in handcuffs while medical attention was provided. The second suspect managed to flee the scene and evaded arrest.
SAPS arrived on scene shortly thereafter and the apprehended suspect was formally handed over into SAPS custody for further investigation.
Incidents like this remind us how quickly everyday moments can turn into high-risk situations. Through fast decision-making and calm coordination, Atlas Security was able to contain the threat and restore safety exactly when it mattered most.

On 15 November 2025, Atlas Security responded immediately to a panic alert from a client who reported three suspects breaking into a property at Hull Street. Armed Response Officer Bravo 57 entered the client’s premises, where he observed the kitchen door had been forced open. He intercepted and arrested the first suspect exiting the property.
