In the early hours of the morning, Armed Response Officer Bravo20 received information via a private community social media group regarding a silver vehicle that had been hijacked earlier.

Upon arrival, armed response officer Bravo 20 successfully recovered the vehicle. Further investigation confirmed the hijacking occurred near New Brighton, where the victim was assaulted. The swift response prevented further loss and ensured the situation was stabilised without escalation.

Additionally, later that afternoon, armed response officer Bravo 8 responded to a phone-in alert from a vehicle owner reporting a hijacking from an unknown location.

Acting without delay, armed response officer Bravo 8 initiated a targeted response and successfully located the vehicle in the KwaZakhele area.

Armed Response officer Bravo 8 remained on site, maintaining control and visibility while awaiting SAPS to formally take possession of the recovered vehicle.
