Atlas Security once again demonstrated the power of rapid response and visible patrols following the arrest of an intruder caught in the act inside a Kabega Park property on the morning of 11 February 2026.
Our control room received a distressed phone call reporting a male inside the yard moving between the water tanks and gas cylinders. The suspect was already busy interfering with property on site.
Our armed response officers were immediately dispatched and the control room prioritised the signal and instructed the armed response officers to approach from the rear entrance to prevent the suspect from escaping.
Moments later, our Armed Response Officers Bravo104 and Bravo 127 arrived on scene and discovered the suspect actively cutting chain around the gas bottles using a bolt cutter.
Our Armed Response Officers closed the distance and successfully intercepted the suspect before he could reach the open area beyond the property, restraining and cuffing him on site.
SAPS attended the scene shortly thereafter, and the suspect was formally handed over into police custody.
Caught in the act. Stopped on the ground.
